Atheism Versus Belief in God

An atheist might give a number of reasons for not believing in God. But it all boils down to the fact that he does not want anyone telling him what he can or cannot do. The atheist's belief is certainly not based upon facts. Everyone who has faith in God and the Bible believes that obedience to God will be rewarded by being in heaven for eternity after this life is over, whereas disobedience will bring its own reward - eternal destruction (Matthew 25:46). Atheists chide Christians for having faith such faith in God; but atheists also rely on faith. Their faith is in the big bang theory and the theory of evolution. The faith of the Christian is based upon the revelation of God that was proven to be true (inspired of God) by the miracles that were done-miracles that even the enemies of God could not and did not deny. The atheist's faith is based upon assumptions that are contrary to science. They have faith that something came from nothing, and they have faith that species evolved. Thus, the atheist's faith is unscientific, which they claim is what disproves belief in God (religion). They view their faith to be fact when their facts are contrary to established laws of science-the same science that they like to believe supports their belief-so much so that it must be taught in public schools as fact. Before something may be considered to be scientific fact a scientist must start with a theory or hypothesis, which must then go through the experimental and demonstrable stages. Scientists have yet to prove the two things that they must prove to make atheism believable: 1) That something can and has come from nothing; and 2) That a species can and has evolved from another species. They still have the problem of "the missing link" i.e., the link between man and animal. God set it up that things reproduce after its kind (species). That has proven to be true without exception and will always be true. Something has to be eternal-God or matter. Atheists have to either believe that matter is eternal or that matter just came from nothing. Of course, Christians believe God is eternal and that He created matter (Genesis 1:1). Atheists believe that design, as seen throughout the universe, just happened as a result of chance. Christians believe God is the Great Designer. Which is most logical to believe: 1) Matter created itself and the universe developed as a result of chance; 2) Eternal nothing created the universe; or 3) "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"? If you are inclined to reject God as the Creator, consider a few select things that God has said to you to help you believe in Him: "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name" (John 20:30-31). "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork" (Psalms 19:1) "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God" Psalms 53:1. Indeed, it is foolish to reject the convincing evidences that are everywhere abundant that God exists and assert that there is no God.
